Emigration and deregistration

• Anyone over the age of 16.
• Spouses or registered partners, if you will be living at the same new address.
• Parents, guardians or caretakers of children under 16 years of age. (If you are leaving together).
• Parents and their adult children (if you leave together).
• The curator of someone who is under guardianship.

Once the municipality has processed your emigration, you will be registered in the Register as a non-resident. You will need proof of this in many countries. Ask for this proof of deregistration at the moment you deregister from Wageningen. This proof costs €20,10.

When should you inform us about your departure?

• Please let us know within 5 days prior to your departure that you are actually leaving the Netherlands
• The date you unregister with the municipality will be recorded as the deregistration date
• It is not possible to deregister earlier than 5 days prior to the date of your departure
• Your move abroad will be passed on to other agencies and the central government
