In some parts of Wageningen you need a parking permit to park your car (temporarily). View the digital parking map(Externe link) to see if you live or work in a permit area. There are various types of parking permits for residents, their visitors, companies, care providers and volunteer carers.
Not working? Make an appointment at the Civil Affairs desk. We will be happy to help you at the town hall.
If you live in permit area 2 or 3
Do you live in permit area 2 or 3? Then you can get a visitor’s pass for your visitors(Externe link). This pass is valid for one year and costs € 70,50. You do not need to own a car for this. Do you want to renew your visitor pass? This happens automatically. You do not have to do anything. You will automatically receive the invoice at home.
If you live in permit area 1 or receives several visitors at once
Do you live in permit area 1? Then you cannot get a visitor’s pass. Your visitor must pay for parking during parking hours. However, you can buy a scratch card for your visitors. A scratch card allows your visitors to park for half a day in all permit areas. The completed scratch card must be placed visibly behind the windscreen of the car.
The scratch card has 2 dayparts. The morning half-day applies from 9am to 2pm. The afternoon half-day applies from 12.00 to 18.00 hrs. On shopping evenings, it is until 21.00 hrs. The afternoon session can also be used from 18.00 or 21.00 until 9.00 the next morning.
You can buy a scratch card at the public affairs desk in City Hall. The scratch card is valid for half a day from 9.00 to 14.00 or from 12.00 to 18.00 (on Fridays and other occasional shopping evenings until 21.00 and on the Salverdaplein and Raadhuisplein until 23.00).
