• You or your partner have Dutch nationality.
• You or your partner are registered in the Dutch Key Register of Persons (BRP) of the municipality of Wageningen.
• If you no longer live in the Netherlands, you can apply for the certificate in the last place of residence you lived before you left.
• If you have never been registered in the Netherlands, apply for the certificate at the Dutch embassy or consulate in the country where you wish to marry.

• If you have been placed under guardianship, you will first need the consent of the curator.
• Foreign documents that have not been compiled in Dutch, French, German or English will first need to be translated into Dutch by a certified translator.
